The Audio Pixel Collider
I was in two classes for the “Audio Pixel Collider”, a multi media live experience where I was tasked to deliver a live/mixed EDM performance as well as preform live lighting while a peer was completing their performance. This was my first time using an Ableton push controller to perform or looping live in Ableton, Which posed a fun challenge! I decided to up the stakes by playing live with my Gretsch running live through my Ableton project but I think it was worth pushing myself to finish something that felt huge.
The Idea Taking Shape
This was me practicing on the Ableton push once id gotten the general beat down, It was definitely a learning experience and I knew I needed to get better if i was going to play guitar at the same time.
The Final Show
God Of War Redesign
For this Project I needed to re-score and replace the fx and foley. I knew it would take a lot of time and energy especially a scene so fast paced with so many impacts, but I love this game and wanted to give it my best effort. I used Izotope RX8 rebalance tools to isolate the voice acting from the original clip to reuse, however I wanted it to be original so I decided not to reference any of the rest of the track and even ended up re dubbing some of the lines, grunts and screms myself. I then recorded, warped, modified and mixed till i felt satisfied with this result. I hope you like what ive done!
Alien Music Redesign
Looping Video Game Music
For this project we got a lot of flexibility in genre because we were limited in tracks and bars, I wanted to use this chance to explore the idea of space and movement in a track with limited musical texture. I wrote recorded and mixed this track with the idea id be in some sort of space voyage game but with the aesthetics of deep sea diving and eldritch threats.
